Annual Fun-Raisers

HoWL is a 501(c)3 charitable non-profit, which means that all donations are tax-deductible. HoWL strives to make all of our fund-raisers Fun-Raisers as well, since Fun is what HoWL is all about!

2011 HoWL MOVIE PREMIERE (watch the 2010 HoWL Movie)

This two-hour event takes place on November 26, 2011 at 7pm at the Islands and Ocean Visitor Center. There will be a live auction, silent auction, an epic ski movie by Sweetgrass Productions and the WORLD PREMIER of the 2011 HoWL Leaves No Trace Movie! Come do your Christmas shopping here, see some awesome short films, and get the inside scoop on HoWL trips: real footage from trips this summer, starring fledgling local movie stars. You can even bid online at the HoWL Adventure Online Auction up until Friday night at 10pm, Alaska-time. Get your bid on!

HOMER CLEAN UP WEEK

Homer Clean-Up Week takes place April 23-28, 2012. Participation in Homer Clean-Up Week is mandatory for students who want HoWL scholarships through the DiRtBaG Program. DiRtBaGgers will be collecting cash pledges from their neighbors and friends for pounds of litter that they pick up in Homer during Clean Up Week. In addition to being eligible for scholarships, DiRtBaGgers are eligible for tons of super sweet prizes from local businesses and REI, as well as cash prizes from the Homer Chamber of Commerce.
 

HoWL BENEFIT CONCERT

The fourth annual Benefit Concert will be held at the Yurt Village on June 23, 2012. Multiple bands will rock the outdoor stage (or the giant yurt, in case of rain) for this always-awesome event. Everyone is invited to join in the festivities, and this year, there will be food booths and vendors to make the party even better.
